Freddie Prinze was born Frederick Karl Pruetzel on June 22, 1954, at 4:09 on a Tuesday morning, at the St. Claire's Hospital in New York City, Ny. He weighed nine and a half pounds. Sixteen girls were born that day but he was the only boy born. The moment his parents brought him home from the hospital six days later, he was surrounded by love.
Prinze's mother, Mrs. Maria Pruetzel, a Christian Puerto Rican and his father a Jewish Hungarian, only wanted to have one child.
